Korea Food: Duck Bulgogi!

After long morning sight see in Hadong city, Fat Yu and wife looks for lunch place!  But not familiar with Hadong city, no know what place to eat!  And many place close because is Chinese New Year!  (Even Korean celebrate Chinese New Year!)

Driver recommend we eat at duck bulgogi restaurant!  Fat Yu never have duck bulgogi, always beef bulgogi!  Fat Yu excited to try!

Put very hot plate in middle of table, and many raw ducks meats!

When cook for a time, he cut meat with scissor!  Eh?!  Why he use scissor?  Korea people must love scissor!

When duck meats is cook, man add green onion and needle mushroom!

Then mix it up and eat with vegetable, like pink radish!  Very delicious!

But is not all!  Fat Yu very happy that is second dish!

When duck meat is cooking, many duck juices run out of hot plate into bowl!  Fat Yu no notice!

Man add rice to left duck meats...

... then add dried seaweed and duck juice!

Is like duck meats fried rice!  Is very delicious!

Fat Yu thank driver very much!  Is two meals in one lunch!

How can I eat two meals in one lunch?

Korea Food: Oysters!

South of Busan city is island called Geoje Island!  Is very beautiful!  But because is winter, nobody there!

Good for Fat Yu and wife, because is not crowded like Shanghai!  Plus they build new bridge, so is very easy to get there!  Just drive one hour!

Fat Yu and wife plan on boat tour to see Haegeumgang Island!  But boat does not leave for more than two hour!  Eh, what to do for two hour?!  Of course, eat lunch!

Even though Geoje Island very empty in winter, it is good news that winter in Korea is when oysters very fresh!  Fat Yu and wife like oysters very much, but oyster in Shanghai very not clean!  In Korea, oysters very clean!

Near boat tour is many restaurant!  Serve many fresh oyster!

Fat Yu no speak Korean (and they no speak Shanghainese!) so we point at picture on the wall, like the laowai in China!  Ha ha, this time we are laowai!

First we eat raw oysters - they bring many oyster with sesame and green onion!  Is many, many oysters and is very delicious!

Also order famous Korean dish, bibimbap!  Is like cold bozaifan made with vegetables and beef!  But instead of beef, this time made with raw oyster!  Is very excellent taste - has sweet, has salty and when add Korea chili sauce, has a little spicy!  (But not like Sichuan spicy!)

Many fresh vegetables and soup make for full meal!  We like oyster so much that we almost miss boat tour!  Who can miss boat tour because of oyster?!

Korea Food: River Salmon!

Fat Yu and wife go to Korea!  Not to the Korea with new fat leader, but Korea in the south!  We go to mountain village called Hawgae, near Hadong city!

It is very cold in Hwagae!  Nobody else there!  Many places closed!  But one place open - nice Korean lady that serve Hadong speciality - river salmon!

We sit on floor like in Japan!  We buy one whole fish!  First she give us many small dishes!  Delicious clams, dried fish and these nuts!

River salmon very fresh!  Nice lady serve it sashimi style on wood paper!  Is very delicious, even though she miss to take out some bones!

Eh?!  But Fat Yu and wife buy whole fish, not just meat!  What happen to rest of fish?!

Fat Yu and wife shouldn't worry, Korean lady not thief like Xinjiang people!  She make soup from salmon body and head!  Has very good flavor!  Eat with rice!

Our first meal in Korean village very delicious!  Is very different than Korea food in Shanghai!  Much more fresher with many more fishes!  Fat Yu and wife enjoy very much!
